NINJA DRESS embodies the three human desires that ninjas were once forbidden to indulge in. It reveals a state beyond desire—a place where discipline overcomes impulse.
Desire is quietly restrained. This design reflects discipline, not indulgence. This is the silent power of NINJA TOKYO.
About the design of the IRO Essence Dress
In the IRO Essence Dress, “color” represents a form of desire akin to feminine allure.
The cutwork at the waist is designed to emphasize the natural curve of the body, highlighting the waist as a symbol of femininity.
It is subtle, but intentionally expressive.
About the materials
For the bodice, we use a satin-weave fabric made from Japanese paper yarn and cupro, with a modified weave structure.
This gives the surface a soft, subtle sheen.
For the skirt, we wanted to capture the unpredictable nature of femininity, so we chose a unique fabric that creates texture and dimension through its weave.
The contrast between smoothness and irregularity adds quiet movement to the dress.
About the shoulder straps
The delicate shoulder straps are designed to be adjustable in length.
You can set them to your preferred length and either let the extra straps hang freely or tie them, depending on your style.
